What is actually there
- Brand Library & Art Center — an art and music library and gallery inside the 1904 El Miradero mansion.
- The Doctors House — a restored Queen Anne–Eastlake Victorian relocated to the park and operated as a museum with limited weekend hours.
- A Japanese tea garden and tea house near the library.
- Picnic areas and open lawn below the mansion.
- Trailheads climbing into the Verdugo Mountains, including fire-road routes with city views.
Practical tips
- Weekend mornings fill the lot fastest; the trails are best early in summer heat.
- Trails are exposed — bring water and expect no shade on the fire roads.
- Library and museum hours are shorter than park hours and are the most common reason people drive up and find a locked door.
- Dogs on the trails must be leashed under city rules.
Why a bail company writes about a park
Because we are from here. Armstrong has been serving Glendale families since 1926, and our Glendale bail bonds page is the local page for people who need us. Nearby: Deukmejian Wilderness Park.
